Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
